About how big of a rectangle should I cut to make a hood for a child's cape? The cape from the nape of the neck to the bottom hem will be 24 inches; the child it's being made for is 5 years old. I don't have a kid here to model it on, so I'm feeling a bit at a loss. The hood and cape can be a little large for the child, since he'll grow into it.
