I applied for a retail job a month ago, got past the interview, they offered me the job, and I accepted. I was going through a bunch of interviews around that time and, a few hours later, I was offered a career-type job where I'd be using my degree and I would start ASAP. I got in touch with the first job I accepted, told them I was very sorry but I had just received an offer that went along with my degree, and politely declined the offer.
To make a long story short: Career job wanted me to move to Arkansas and I had absolutely no interest in doing so, so they let me go. I was recently looking through job postings and came across the retail job listed again for the same position I was accepted for. This whole thing has been a nightmare and I really need a job.
I want to apply again -- what is the best way to go about doing that without being like, "HUHHUH I'M DUMB HERES MY STUFF AGAIN"? I was going to send them my resume and cover letter again, without mentioning my previous interview and job offer, but I don't know if I should mention the reason why I'm applying again since I declined their offer after accepting. I realize they might not want me again, but I need to try.
TIA for any help!
TL;DR: Accepted a job offer, got a better job offer, declined first job offer, how do re-submit resume.
