I'm leaving for swim class in about fifteen minutes, and I am really anxious, so I have to ask... I just freshened my hair dye; it's intense pink and purple. I bought a swim cap but it's a retro sort of style and I'm concerned it won't be tight enough to keep the water out of my hair. I'm not so much concerned about my dye fading, but I AM concerned about my dye leeching everywhere into the pool. I know for a fact that if it gets wet it WILL leech, since it does that in the shower, even, let alone chlorinated water.
Do you have any experience with situations like this? Do you think I'll have to get out of the pool and cut my class short (and that would mean I'd skip my class on Thursday as well, while I wait for a new swim cap to arrive), or is hair dye something public pools are used to/okay with? Will it be a massive pink pool around me or will it not even be noticeable? D=
I literally have NO idea what to expect, because up until now my hair was super faded, so leeching wasn't an issue.
