What kind of toothpaste do you use, and why? Do you have to use a special kind of tooth paste for electronic toothbrushes?

Mildly in ernest? That other post convinced me I should give an electric toothbrush a shot, so I figure it can't hurt to know what kind of toothpaste to use with it?

You use the same toothpaste with electrics.

Xyliwhite. I cannot tolerate toothpastes with sodium lauryl sulfate because they cause me to get terrible canker sores, and I like the taste of it. Also, I've heard that xylitol is a safer alternative to flouride.

I use a cinnamon flavoured whitening toothpase. Cinnamon because mint toothpaste makes my mouth brun in an unpleasant way, and whitening because my morning routine involves a lot of black coffee and cigarettes.

I've never heard of cinnamon flavour toothpaste - I can't even imagine it! I wouldn't feel like I'd really CLEANED my teeth if they weren't minty fresh...

This. I'm a toothpaste hoarder too. I'll buy 10 bottles at like $.80 each with double coupons. I probably have like 30 bottles in my pantry lol.

Same! We have about 15-20 in various bathroom drawers and cabinets, plus whatever gets kept with travel supplies.

Trader Joe's brand because it's cheaper than Tom's of Maine, but I happily use the latter if it's on sale. And "why" because I only use natural items.

I used to use Tom's of Maine but got too pricey. I am glad to hear the Trader Joe's brand isn't so bad.
Now, I am off to buy some! =)

Yeah, it's pretty good. I just don't like the texture or flavor as much but for half the price, I'm just fine with it!
