To eat, or not to eat?

A few days before Christmas, my sister gave me a bag with wine, cheese, and crackers as a present. I wasn't feeling well, so I put all the cheese in the fridge and set aside the bag for later. Days later I discovered that I missed some of the cheese, and it sat out for three days. Do you still think it's safe to eat? It is Tintern Cheese from ( Read more... )

Cheese doesn't really go bad, as far as I know... if anything, it just sweats its fat out and dries out. Or gets moldy, but that usually takes a long time.

Just stick it back in the fridge for half a day or so, and it should be fine.
Depending on the cheese, I let it sat out for days on purpose, haha.

I think I've built an immunity against any bacteria that can be found on cheese. Well, it's more like we live in harmony.

I miss French cheese too. ;_;
It's overpriced here, so I can't buy a lot. I've had brie and comté last month, I was so happy!

It's a hard cheese, so I'd eat it. Especially since I'm fairly certain that in the UK cheese is pasteurised unless is specifically says otherwise. And Tintern's quite a big operation and sells to supermarkets so I'm confident it would be pasteurised.

I think it's fine. I wouldn't hesitate to eat it myself, to be honest.
