Back in 2008, a young man named Lawrence King was murdered. He was gay. He talked about wanting to change his name to Latisha. And some poor excuse for a human being shot him in the back of the head in a crowded classroom.
A mistrial was declared today in the case of his murderer, so unless the prosecution re-files, his killer could walk free.
With that background in mind, can someone explain to me how this is supposed to make any sense?
The school administration has been accused of being more concerned about defending King's civil rights than recognizing that his behavior and what he wore - high heels, makeup and feminine clothing - made other students uncomfortable.
I'm pissed and ready to choke a ***** over this.
