Composing compost.
How should I compost without stinking out my neighbors? We already compost rot kitchen scraps but I haven't got a good system for 1. collecting it in the house (maybe sitting for a day or so) without seeming messy and 2. letting it compost outside without having a smelly, oozy, fly-attracting garbage can of doom.
I've looked online but most advice seems geared toward large-scale rural composting or small-scale urban composting. We're kinda in the middle - a family of six with a high output of compostable material living in an urbany environment. We garden but mostly we don't want to send it all to the landfill.
Should I get a turnable composter thing and do aerobic composting? Let it sit behind the garage and do anaerobic composting but in some way that doesn't stink? Face the fact that we make too much stuff and we can't compost it all?
