I have a few questions for anyone who has gone to school for Interior Design. I was thinking of attending Watkins College of Art&Design in Nashville, TN this spring. (I originally wanted to go to AZ State in Tempe, but by boyfriend's job is keeping me in Huntsville, AL and I plan to dive home on weekends)
http://www.watkins.edu/ I am almost finished with by BS in BA, so I am putting off changing schools until after graduation.
Has anyone gone there? Or have you heard anything about it?
I found the school on NASAD's website. I know it's important to go to a school that is accredited by FIDER, but are there any other accreditation issues I should know about?
If you did not get a degree, how did you being in the business?
Is there a school you would recommend/where did you go?
What major US city would you say is the best place to live and work as an interior designer? I was thinking about starting out and Atlanta and gaining experience and then moving to New York. Is it a bad idea to job/city hop?
Is there any advice you can give me about the process of being a designer?
Thank you,
PS. Please pass this on to anyone you know who might could answer my questions.
