I <3 my room......sorta!
Hey everyone I'm new here. I'm 20/female/MN.
I joined so that I can hopefully get some ideas from others on things to make my room look more special. I've tried to make it "vintage" like but it's half working and half not.
(P.S: There's LOTS of pics!)
The top of my dresser.
This is a close up of the "bird cage" on my dresser.
OKay now this is my bed. Granted the comforter is more darker than portrayed in the pics, it still looks unmatched to the pillows and throw.
Any ideas for a comforter that would match?
This is what's above my bed.
Close up of picture (although I know it's a bit too modern for the room)
Close up of candles (that are to the right in the other pic above)
And this is the lighting above the 'modern' picture/shelf unit above bed.

This is my nightstand for now.

This is at the end of my bed.
This is on a wall above my "bowl" chair. (I think it's supposed to be on a table but this will do for now)
This is on the wall right next to that shelf. I actually made a little colloge in the frame of vintage pictures.
And this is where my room starts to look really crappy...
That's the "bowl"/papsan chair I was talking about
Dresser+TV+Mirror that faces my bed.
So now I have a few questions:
*What kind of comforter should I get to match "the theme"?
*If I can paint my walls, what color should I paint them? (They are light yellow right now if you couldn't tell)
*What kind of wood (for a new dresser, nightstand and some real shelves) should I get to match "the theme"? Or If I could buy some cheap furniture, what color should I paint the wood to match?
What do you all think would look good!?
