So the past two weeks have been crazy busy, going to class 4 hours a night every night- so thankful that is over!! and keeping up with other homework and end of the semester projects. I am very much looking forward to having my nights back to myself this week! This weekend I had a glorious weekend at home. The weather has been soooo great- I love spring! Char and Red and I enjoyed sack lunches outside today and threw the maple tree seeds(?) in the air that fly like helicopters.
I had really good communion with God this weekend. Friday night I did the prayer path at church. Even though I had other stuff on my mind that was worrying me, God showed me how to rejoice in Him even when everything else in life isn't going the greatest. After the prayer path I watched "The Passion of the Christ" for the second time at church. Besides an overwhelming attitude of gratefulness, I was really inspired by what Christ did to be brave. He willingly suffered...He knew exactly what was coming and He still went through with it. That's incredible to me! It makes me want to be a brave soldier for Him and live on the frontlines of the battle, "die with my boots on".
Other thoughts that are just simply amazing to me: "Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excllence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust." 2 Peter 1:2-4 -Because of what Christ has done, I have totally escaped the power of my old nature. The fullness of His nature is mine and I have all His qualities. It's up to me to put them into practice. v. 8-9 "For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these qualities is blind or shortsighted, having forgotten his purification from his former sins."
