Stop being Catholic...

Sep 21, 2005 13:24

My mom is Catholic and I came from a Catholic ophanage (how the hell do you spell that?). But let's be serious people. Weddings are something to celebrate and enjoy. Not sit for 3-4 hours. I just read the wedding invite to Jenn's wedding. Full Catholic Service. The wedding starts at 1pm, we need to get there at 12:30, the wedding reception is about 4 1/2 minutes away. The drinks (thank god drinks) and hors d'ouvres are begining at 4pm. It will take me about 3 hours to get to Altoona. Last Saturday I got up at 4pm. That's right 4pm. I sleep on Saturdays. I will have to LEAVE at 9am. I know I know, gee Ashley why don't you bitch some more. I'm just saying it'll be a long day. And I didn't realize this was a Catholic wedding. Sarah Henkel prepared me for hers and I don't have to drive 3 hours to see hers. Oh well. Jenn and Neil are a great couple, so I'm going to be happy for them. I just would like to invent a teleporter before I go. Is that so much to ask? Mr. Ed is going with me. He says he likes weddings, I'm not sure he will after he puts up with my ass for a day. At least he'll see me in a dress. Woah, I wear dresses? I actually need to go purchase a dress probably. Can't wear the dresses I thought I could. Pull in one dress and the other dress is too close to white. I'm sure you all care.

Tomorrow is the first day of Fall (I think).

Jeff Taylor's birthday is Friday. Jenn and Neil become the Carneys' on Saturday. I sleep all day on Sunday.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend! :-P
