I thought the X-Files was actually really good! I thought it was very appropriate to the show, and I felt like the conspiracy/aliens was better left to the show anyway...this movie was about them moving on and dealing with new issues while still remembering the past...

...I guess it just really worked for me. And two other people I know can back me up...

...and I guess I'm defensive about this movie because I'm still in love with Mulder, after all these years...

I felt like this X-Files movie was akin to a long monster-of-the-week episode that you enjoyed watching at the time but completely forget about the next day.

For the record, I'm still just as in love with Mulder as I was when I was 12 (which is, of course, partially why I digg Californication so much)!

See, I felt the same way about it being a long episode, but it stuck with me and just felt very appropriate to the feel of the series and of their relationship.

I also loved Mulder when I was like 12...to 24+. I totally caught a couple episodes of Californication and it was quite enjoyable...so enjoyable I need to see more than a couple episodes.

Granted, I think I would've gotten tired of it sooner if I'd been an adult when I started watching (instead of 11), but I've gone back and watched the first three seasons recently and it was a damn fine show.

That just, y'know, got a bit silly toward the last...half of the series :p
