I found out what time it was.
ha
So, I always think it's interesting when people leave messages and say, "Hey, it's me..." I mean, usually it's someone whose voice you will recognize...but...it's comical...because whoever it is EXPECTS that you will know exactly who "me" is. What if, out of some weird circumstance and putting aside caller id, someone else wrote down your messages? How would they ever figure out who "me" is? Now if you've just called someone and you're calling them back, I can see saying, "It's me." But it seems almost understood that you refer to yourself as "me" and you are "me" to yourself, but someone else is "me" to himself or herself. Just like you call your mom, "mom", but she's not everyone's mom; to others, their mom is "mom", and your mom is "mrs. (last name)", or perhaps she's even referred to on a first name basis. So as we can now clearly see, "me" and "mom" are relative terms and apply only to you and your mom. So next time you leave a message, maybe you'll think of this.
"Hey, it's...."me", which is "me" to myself, but is (name) to you...because, to you, "me" is yourself...
by the way, please give my regards to............
YOUR MOM
and call "me", (name), back soon."
yes...
I think we have this concept down.
It's 11 am on a Sunday morning and I've just come home from church...and I have one more hour until work...I had to do something with my time.
