So, since the Olympics started, I'd pretty much abandoned the internet. No LJ, no Twitter, no news websites, nothing. I live on the west coast, and we pretty much had to record everything due to work schedules. It was really hard trying to remain unspoiled (because newspapers and local news didn't always give spoiler warnings) but for the most part I was able to be two days behind the rest of the world, but happily surprised at the winners.
Now that the Olympics are over, it'll be nice to finally join the rest of the world again.
