One paper published, one in prep. Two grants submitted.
No change in personal health, really, although I joined a gym and have started a weekly training session to mark/enforce progress.
Was more social with colleagues and other acquaintances.
The round-up:
I didn't keep track of television watched, because it was pretty hit or miss, but I really enjoyed Political Animals for the acting (not necessarily the script-writing, because some of it was a hot mess) and the fact that it was essentially Hillary & Bill Clinton RPF. Ellen Burstyn was amazing.
Still don't care for BBC's Sherlock (sorry, not a Cumberbatch fan) or interested in Game of Thrones after watching the first episode.
Books:
1. Side Jobs, Jim Butcher
2. When Tony Met Adam, Suzanne Brockmann
3. Hallowed Ground, Lori Armstrong
4. Blood Ties, Lori Armstrong
5. Shallow Grave, Lori Armstrong
6. Snow Blind, Lori Armstrong
7. His Last Letter: Elizabeth I and The Earl of Leicester (historical fiction)
8. The Secrets of a Fire King, Kim Edwards
9. Founding Rivals: Madison vs. Monroe, The Bill of Rights and the Election That Saved A Nation, Chris DeRose
10. Celebrity In Death, JD Robb
11. Crucible of Gold, Naomi Novik (so much better than the last Temeraire installment)
12. The Thirteen Tale, Diane Setterfield
13. Blood Oath, Christopher Farnsworth
14. Dorchester Terrace, Anne Perry
15. Hero: The Life & Legend of Lawrence of Arabia, Michael Korda (dude was fucked up)
16. Goalie Interference, Emily Cale (short, e-book)
17. Powerplay, Cher Carson (short, e-book)
18. My Blood, Ellen Ullman (the narrator is SUCH a creeper, OMG)
DNF - Trying To Score, Toni Aleo (I've read badfic that was better written)
DNF - Hat Trick, Caralyn Fox (also terrible - in terms of setting up plot, use of bad romance novel tropes, and grammar/syntax)
19. Breakaway, Kelly Jamieson
20. Faceoff, Kelly Jamieson
21. One Man Advantage, Kelly Jamieson
22. Alpha, Greg Rucka (plot is a retread of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six mashed up with The Sum of All Fears, minus the techno-babble)
23. Magic Dreams, Ilona Andrews
24. The President's Vampire, Christopher Farnsworth
25. Magic Gifts, Ilona Andrews
26. Gunmetal Magic, Ilona Andrews (don't care for Andrea as a narrator as much as Kate, but interesting to see her POV)
27. Some Girls Bite, Chloe Neill
28. Friday Night Bites, Chloe Neill
29. Twice Bitten, Chloe Neill
30. Hard Bitten, Chloe Neill
31. Drink Deep, Chloe Neill
32. Biting Cold, Chloe Neill
33. Kill You Twice, Chelsea Cain
34. The Devil in the White City, Erik Larson (two threads needed to be tied together better)
35. A History of the World in 6 Glasses, Tom Standage (Coca-Cola as a metaphor for the US. B+)
36. A Sunless Sea, Anne Perry (now I want to read much more about the Opium Wars)
37. Dark Water Rising, Marian Hale (fictional account of the 1900 hurricane that leveled Galveston, YA)
38. Restless in the Grave, Dana Stabenow
39. It's so easy and other lies, Duff McKagan
40. Delusion in Death, JD Robb (I think I might be done with this series, now; DNW Rourke inserting himself into the case (would any other property owner be allowed to do so?) and am tired of the shifting POVs mid-scene)
41. Shadow of Night, Deborah Harkness
42. Breakaway: From Behind the Iron Curtain to the NHL
DNF - The Casual Vacancy, JKR
43. Sunshine, Robin McKinley
44. Cold War, Jim Butcher
45. The Disappearing Spoon and Other Truth Tales of Madness, Love, and the History of the World from the Periodic Table of the Elements, Sam Kean
46. The Day I (Almost) Killed Two Gretzkys, James Duthie

1. Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy (LOVED IT.)
2. Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol
3. The King's Speech
4. Man On A Ledge
5. The Rite
6. This Means War (Made me rage. Seriously, sexist, rape-culture bullshit. It isn't cute that two dudes stalked the chick they're into. It's invasive and creepy and she should've kicked them both the curb.)
7. Bronson (Crazy.)
8. Rio
9. Hanna
10. X-Men First Class
11. Iron Man
12. Iron Man 2 (Wow, how bad was that script?)

27. Moonlight Kingdom
28. Men In Black 3
29. The Hobbit
30. Skyfall
