Day 13 → A fictional book

Ah, this is a weird phrase. If by this the meme's creator means a work of fiction, I'll point you toward the honorable mentions list at the bottom of Day 04's entry.

Or, okay, the book I'm reading now: Lessons In Love. J has been telling me for ages about this series of ebooks she read by Charlie Cochrane, called the Cambridge Fellows Mysteries, so I finally purchased the first in the series and started reading it last night. They're set in Edwardian England, at Cambridge, and the two main characters, Jonty and Orlando, are fellows at St. Bride's (is that a real college?), who eventually fall in love.

It's interesting so far. I'm only a couple of chapters in. NGL, I was afraid the writing would be like badfic, b/c I've skimmed samples on some ebook websites, but it's well written and entertaining thus far.

As for the awkwardly phrased title in the meme, if it's supposed to mean a book that's fictional, as in not-real, well. Hmm. I'll have to think about that.

books, meme
