~ The Get Up Kids' library arrived, thanks to Vagrant Records. I clicked a link on their Twitter ages ago and entered a drawing for free tickets, and ended up with the tickets and all of their CDs for free. I'm pretty stoked to see them.

Boys Like Girls did a video session at LiveDaily? I need to rip this.
~ Mat Kearney was a good show. The best description I can think of for him is a cross between Bruce Hornsby and Jackson Brown. His guitarist was really talented. Also? The Foundation Room at the House Of Blues is pretty swank, but I felt like a poor cousin next to the people who have proper memberships, rather than winning a pass.
~ The Bravery tonight! :D
~ Photos! I'm going to apologize - these are a little out of order. My iPhoto split the modified from the originals, so any vertical photos had to be added separately.
We were at stage right, right in front of Tim Lopez, so as you might imagine the contents of my memory card were heavy on him and Tom. I only got a couple of pictures of Dave and Mike, and somehow Tom was always blocking my view of De'Mar. We left the barrier after their set, but then Kari and I worked our way back over to a couple of people back at stage left for Snow Patrol's set. *shrug* They did How To Be Dead, so I was happy.
Then for the AP fall ball? I took a few photos of each band, but we were off to the side at stage left, and they're not very good. I took far more of TAI. Because they're TAI. But there are a lot of Mike Carden. Sorry,
shutyourface.
Um. I literally almost ran into Beckett (he's a twig, OMG) on my way into Lucky's for drinks, and realized after the fact that the table I sat down at was right next to the one with Tony. So then Beckett came back in, and Carden wandered over. He looks way better with his hair cut short, and sort of tan. But still not particularly happy or smiley. Mostly I was amused that the one person who thinks his creepy gaze will steal their soul (
shutyourface) ended up right in his line of sight.
vic_ramsey and I stayed in Lucky's until 7pm drinking and chatting and watching hockey (yay, Devils!) but
eckerlilas and
shutyourface headed over to the Studio, where they had dibs on a sofa in the corner. No one was on that side of the barrier (it angles off further than the rest of the barrier) when we joined them, right as You Me At Six took the stage. I didn't feel like fighting for a closer spot, so that was perfect as far as I was concerned.
Anyway. The photos. Mostly Carden, some Beckett (he strikes a nice pose, and he was wearing suspenders), a couple of Sisky and MGC, and a photo so you can see that I could only spy Butcher's drumsticks as a blur behind the amp.
Carden was standing off to the side and the lights hit him weird, so some of the photos are dark. But here:
I was trying to get a photo of Beckett and Sisky together, but he moved just as I snapped, so here, his non-existent ass:
