I love this! The opening paragraphs - earmuffs but with music! - capture her wonderful view of the world so perfectly, and the whole thing is just sweet and warm and lovely. I can also just picture her using air quotes when they yell at her for getting herself almost killed, and I love the way you describe her feelings about Hardison's voice in her head.
