Don't read into that, I just really like that line. I finally got around to listening to the entire album instead of just the first five tracks, and I loved it.
And you writing this post made me so happy. Partially because I'm an eternal narcissist and love it when people write about me, and partially because I'm always happy when you overcome your self-consciousness to write. I like how you showed how one car ride is a big mixture of experiences for you, because it incorporated memories of your restricted childhood, the Hold Steady, and a literary discussion which involved us admitting the inescapable fallacies that come from recording one's memory. Also, I love the timing of this entry. Because I was so depressed that day, and I remember that at one point I said that I used to love posting on LJ all the time because I love my friends and love writing about them, but these days I feel too tired. That was such a sad thing for me to say. So having my friend write about me a few hours after that felt wonderful, and made me less tired!
