Hulu has put out all of the episodes of My So-Called Life. The show didn't last that long but I remember watching a good amount when I was a kid. Granted, I was a little too young to fully understand the obstacles and challenges that were presented on the show, but it was still a good show to watch. I'm watching it now and it's not hard to think back about my high school years. No matter what generation you grew up in, the same bullshit and drama remain.
James and I were having dinner the other night and as he was telling me a story he brought up that his nephew has a cell phone. It wouldn't of been a big deal but his nephew is only 10 years old. Maybe it's not a big deal anymore but I remember when my parents bought me my first cell phone. I was 16 and it was to be used for emergency use only and believe me, I did not touch that phone unless it was for a real emergency. The current generation seems very impatient and if they don't know something, all they do is get on their phone and google it. What happened to learning? Perhaps it's not just that generation, but society now.
Anyways, watching My So-Called Life makes me want to have it on dvd and save it for when I have kids of my own. I can show them how back in the day even without all the big technology, the same problems still existed. I also want them to watch old cartoons from the 80's and 90's but this is just wishful thinking.... I don't even have kids.
