Fuuuuck Youuuu Mt. Pleasant

Alright, so I spent about 1/2 a week in LO at the beginning of this month...started out as a weekend at home for Andy's graduation, ended up being a dress shopping and IKEA extravaganza. Ash and I went down to the grand opening of IKEA and it was sosososo amazing! They're shit's so inexpensive, I got like 8939 things for 17 dollars! Plus some Swedish cookies! Beat that!

So I came home and the apartment was a sauna b/c I didn't have the AC on, by sauna I mean 100 degrees of dry heat. By 100 degrees I mean 100 degrees on the thermostat, meaning my room was prolly 105. My plants all withered to their death; which in turn, withered a little piece of my heart away.

I got that taken care of, and now the Beech is pretty cool. We got visitors for the weekend, and I finally had a roommate for a little less than 3 days. A trip to the Sweet Onion was more fun than a barrel of monkeys! When Alex is your waitress how can it not be!? So this past weekend was Becky's 21st birthday, so on Friday I went out to O'Kelly's at the stroke of midnight with her and some of the other Deerfield crew that is of age. Kelly was up for the weekend too. Goodtimes. I got drunk, Becky got wayyyy drunk, fun was had by all.

Next day it seemed like I was running to and from Deerfield and Copper Beech all day. Becky's party was at C7, I had to be the fackin DD, so not very much to say, b/c my fun revolves around how drunk I am. Sad, but more or less true.

So the night was good until a lost kitty (who belonged to someone, he had a collar and was clean) came to the apt, we played with him for a while and debated whether or not to let him out that night or wait til morning. We decided it would only screw him up if we kept him for too long, so we let him out and hoped he'd find his way back. As we're all in the parking lot saying goodbye and all that good stuff, we hear a scary thump and turn to see the very same kitty I was just holding, getting hit by some drunk(speculation) girl in an SUV. I probably would have cried if I witnessed any old animal get hit by a car right in front of my eyes, but a cat? Now scarred for life I believe. Sad stuff.

Soooo after that tragedy Mary and I went home and went to sleep. Next day I was grouchy until Mary came home and told me that I was going tubing on the chip river with Mikey, Brandon, Elaine and her. I always did want to go. So we get there and realize it's Elaine, her sister and about 92 other dudes. Mikey and brandon were a tad surprised, and mary and I instantly a little self-concious. But all was well and after quite an ordeal, we were on the river. Mikey may have been a pair of sandals short by then though. So 3 hours of hilarity ensued, and I'd say that it was a highlight of the summer.

Now the fun is over and I'm searching for a job, which is damn near impossible in Mt. Pleasant any time of the year, much less in the middle of fackin June, when I have those pesky high schoolers to compete with and absolutely no restaurants seem to be hiring. Very frustrating. I don't know where I'll end up, but I'll probably be getting paid 6.50 an hour and asking people if they want to make that a value meal.

Tomorrow I start my volunteer thing at the hospital. I'm nervous to meet the dietician I'm working for. What if she hates me? Or thinks I'm dumb? Well, I'll hope for the best.

Steve's wedding is this saturday, I'm going with Alex. Basically everyone from Deerfield is going. This too shall be fun. This wedding will be the first one that many of us are legal to drink at...I forsee a lot of foos getting krunk at the reception.

LONGEST ENTRY EVER.
