So there's this message board. Well, technically it's a "postboard" but that's not the point. See, this board has been dead-ish for a while. When it was in full swing, there were regulars. We all knew each other, we were all friends. Newbies never really lasted long once they realized they were alone in our world of hockey, basketball, and a love of cheesecake. We were never on topic and we had to insert "C-Note sucks" at the end of our posts to prevent deletion.
The board sort of died off, but every now and then, the regulars check back in, say hi, update each other about their lives, and move on.
Today, I went to the board and there were people there talking about on-topic things... And it felt wrong. Like they were invading our turf. Is that weird?
