1. I learned that lisetening to Muse just makes me want to listen to Radiohead.
2. My back right tire blew out about 50 miles outside of Alexandria (aka middle of nowhere.)
3. Triple A said "LOL!" well not exactly but pretty much.
4. Two nice men who smelled like pine trees and raspberries changed my tire for me.
5. I gave them 2 of the 3 cold bottles of water I'd brought along for the trip.
6. Spend an hour and 20 minutes in a Goodyear store in Alexandria watching UPN.
7. Cried for 3.5 seconds (UPN? maybe)
8. Got some corn nuts & more water at a gas station.
9. FINALLY got to Dallas and checked into my Motel 6!
10. Spent $12.00 on a beer and a slice of pizza that tasted like vomit.
11. Spent $8.00 on another beer.
12. Rocked out to Beck!
13. Crashed at motel 6.. desperately wanting more pillows.
Beck's show was delightfully odd. They had puppet representations of all the band members on a tiny stage behind the real band members. It was oddly entertaining.
Today I have checked out of my motel, sporting my new Beck shirt, and am wandering around the city for a bit. I had printed out directions to this cafe with free wireless internet, but when I got there it no longer exsisted. Luckily it was a big road and I drove up and down it and stumbled upon a gamestop. I was working off the assumption that gamestop workers would also have some interest in the internet... never fails. They directed me here, to Schotzky's Deli where I have finally obtained real food. Ahhh vegetarian pizza! While the internet connection is lacking, it exsists and for that I am thankful. I think I shall look for a mall or something...
Life is satisfactory.
