Intense Japanese Language Program in Japan

Nov 15, 2005 17:47

This has probably been posted a million times, but I'm just looking for some overseas intensive Japanese language programs. I'm in my second year of Japanese right now, and for the 2006/2007 academic year I want to be in Japan on a language program. Anyways, I'm asking if anyone knows some good programs. I want to spend the whole academic year over there and I would prefer it be on a program that is for the language only. I'm not that interested in taking culture/history/whatever courses offered in English; I want to focus on the language. Even so, I will take suggestions that include those additional courses. So far, the ones I know about are JCMU (Japanese Center for Michigan Universties (I go to MSU)), KCJS (Kyoto Center for Japanese Studies, AKP (Associated Kyoto Program), and the program at KGU (Kansai Gaidai University). All of them seem great, especially KCJS and KGU, but they all require additional English courses be taken. Any further suggestions, or possibly the sharing of experiences on different programs in Japan, would be greatly appreciated. (cross-posted on Japanese and Asian Studies)
