What an absolute horror of a game!!!!!!
Hello, all!! Whoever watched last night's much-awaited Sox vs. Yankees game: SORRY!!!! No, really!!! That's about 3 & 1/2 hours of your life that you can't deny happened...
If only I could put as much time and energy into studying as I put into the Red Sox!! Instead, I elect to watch such crap!! But gotta hand it to the guys: they hung in there! After like, 6 full innings (i think it was) of getting nothing but a good, solid ass-kicking (not even a single HIT, let alone any runs!!!!), they managed to score SEVEN runs to come w/in 1 run of tying it up!!! But of course, that turned out to be too little (well, not really...i'd hardly call 7 runs in like, 2 innings too little), too late as they say...but hey, they tried, right? Yeah, tried & failed!!! (Welcome to MY life!!) yeah, it IS only game 1 of a possible 7-game series (i hope it doesn't come to that--my heart can't take all this stress)...on the other hand, this is how it happened last year...lost 1, won 1, lost 1, won 1, etc, etc...and of course, w/ that pattern, that means we'd lost 4 games and won only 3...please, All Mighty Powers that Be, don't let us go down that way again this year...Many of us, myself included, would like to see the Red Sox go to the World Series in our lifetime(s), let alone win!! I would be more than happy to just beat the Yankees to GO to the World Series!! Of course, I want us to win the World Series, after having got so far...but it is just enough for me to see the Sox beat out their greatest arch nemesis...i am not that greedy....kinda like me w/ school...i don't need to be the A-student...as long as I pass, that makes me happy enough...
Anyway, that's my little commentary about that...hopefully, tonight's game w/ Pedy (as in Pedro Martinez) will prove much more worthy of my time...afterall, I do have a quiz tomorrow (and a FINAL next thurs.!!)...though this is what I did last week: watched game 2 of sox vs angels when the game started at 10p and didn't end 'til 2am and i sat at my desk studying while the game was on...i got a 7/10 on that quiz..which is fine 'cuase that's prob. what i would have gotten anyway..seeing as i've had 4 quizzes now and haven't managed to break a 7 on any of them (well, i got an 8 on the 1st one--after having spent that previous weekend in Fla, nonetheless!!--which actually got bumped up to a 9 'cause the prof. messed up on it and i think ended up just giving EVERYONE an extra point)..but yeah, no matter how hard i study for these things, i just....suck....think that'll fly w/ my patients? "Sorry...but I can't prevent your death more than 70% of the time" ??? ha (not really)
Well, on that note..May the Red Sox not break my heart yet again this game/series!!!! Can't stand losing to the Evil Empire
