Anniversary
Wow Kevin and I have made it two years without killing each other. ;) He's such a wonderful boy. Technically, our dating anniversary is October 23, but I postponed the celebration so we could watch the Astros play in Game 1 of the World Series. Sometimes I'm not sure I'm a real female. heh
Because we've spent considerable amounts of money on gifts in the past, I imposed a limit of $20 this time. I don't like to view celebrations or holidays as just gifts. It should be about something more than that. Anyways when I went to look Kevin's gift, I found out they didn't carry it. So I guess he's going to get it for Christmas plus another gift I'm scoping out already. Still quite the pisser.
We had dinner at La Tour D'Argent which was nice although everyone there was 10-15 years older than us. My favorite part was dessert of course in the form of a Grand Marnier souffle. It was worth the mild stomach pains I get from my body's inability to process lots of lactose.
Kevin materialized the gifts as the dinner transpired. First an awesome card referencing how we take a picture of our shadows on every trip. The second was a dark chocolate bar called "Chocolove." It has a romantic poem inside the wrapper. hah The third was an 4GB iPod Nano!! I got really giddy for a few minutes there. (= I feel bad I didn't make a bigger deal out of his present although I luv my gift. :D He claims he wanted to get it for me before I discussed a cash limit. Thanks, Kev. (=
This week is going to be hectic. Already lots of odd random drama here at work. We're moving to a new building which involves lots of paperwork and team coordination for me. Also, Kevin and I are moving to the now hip area of Midtown pre-move to either Seattle or San Francisco. So I pack boxes at work and then go home to pack more boxes. Weeeee. In the past, this is the time when I'd buy a pack of cigarettes which would take me 6 months or more to smoke. :P Now I don't crave them at all. I need a smoking substitute to feed the oral fixation. ;P
