My Good Karma has Just Paid Off in a BIG Way!! XD
XD So I went to see Lauren in Center City today since I heard that an art store down there was selling Copic Makers for only 3 bucks! I just had to check it out, and asked Lauren to come out since I figured she was awfully lonely with no one to talk to other than her parents. :[ Well, she seems to be doing well; she's glad to be home, and she's happy that her medications are getting reduced just a little bit with every doctor's visit. Although, she tells me that she at times has a lot of anxiety. The doctor has checked to see if she has Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, which is understandable given the circumstances of her sickness, but that does make me worry a bit. Perhaps this loneliness is getting to her? :[ That sucks, I'll have to make an effort to visit her more before I leave after finals ne? :D Maybe she can even help me study! :D Yay!
Anyway, she came down and what not from her apartment, and we went straight away to the corner of Spruce and Broad to the Utrecht Art Store! :D Unfortunately, the clerk I spoke to regarding the Copic Markers must've been mixed up or lied to me. -___- They were 5 bucks instead fo the 3 that I heard over the phone. Dangit. XD But, hey, I was in the area, and I may as well get a few! So I started to pick out 4 colors since I only had about 22 bucks, and any extra would go onto my credit card. And then, Lauren, bless this chick's super mega awesome heart [!!], she goes off and says "Don't worry about it, get what you want, I'll pay!" O.O Man, she tempted me so badly, I tried to keep the total low priced, but she and I just kept on picking out all these pretty, pretty colors!! XDD AHHH; I love this girl!!
So in the end, I ended up getting 90 dollars worth of Copic Markers on her platinum credit card. Her reasoning was for the fact that I had "done so much for her this year." Meh, what I did was nothing. All I did was go to the hospital with Korean food and a book or walk around the city with ya dear. It's what a good friend should do! Ack! So grateful I am! Obviously, it was gonna be hard for me to repay her for this, but I figured the least thing that I could do was too take her to a Rite Aid or so and get her some of the toilet paper that she needed. XD So, she now has a 8 pack of toilet paper sitting somewhere in one of her bathrooms from me. ♥ XD Dangit, I need to still repay her somehow! I need to find a good X-mas present for her. XD
But, obviously to her request and because I had some started, she wanted to see some pretty pictures. So I showed her the ones that were in the last entry of mine. And today, I finished one of them, and got the other half done. :D Here's the first one's finished product:
These Copic Markers amaze me to no end! This is the first time I've seen my work not totally washed out by scanner light! THANK YOU LAUREN!! Well, I'm still looking for some constructive criticism for the marker work since I'm not good at this yet haha.
But, otherwise, and in other news, the last day of classes was yesterday, and I'm so glad for that! x.x Now it's just to study up for finals.. Ugh.. Oh well...
Oh! It turns out, that the speech that I thought I had done so horribly on was the most liked speech from the class! Yay!! Yatta!
