Well, it started out as any usual weekend, you know the whole picking me up, going out to dinner, and getting back to his place, but what made it so different? It was the fact that for practically the entire weekend, Uteng and I did almost everything the other does. Weird isn't it?
What made it strange was the fact that all I literally did all weekend was SLEEP. If you know me well enough, I practically NEVER sleep or SLEEP IN. It was so strange to wake up at about 10 o'clock in the morning and have nothing to do until the later part of the day. When we got home, I slept. When it was morning, we got up at 10, but he was out of bed before I was! That NEVER happens!! Maybe I'm working too hard? .... Nah....
We didn't really do much last weekend, since he had some freelance work to take care of, and I, myself, was dead tired for working an unpaid 40 hours at the D.A.'s office. XD But you know what I'd do all those 40 hours over again in a heartbeat! Actually, I'm doing that this week. Haha. But anyway, the most exciting thing we probably did all weekend was Friday night's dinner outing to the new Korean/Japanese restaurant on campus and roomate experimenting on my face because she "wanted to do my hair and make up" haha. I'll post a photo of that later. It certainly was interesting but too much make up for my liking.
To those that go to Temple University:
TRY THE NEW KOJA GRILLE. IT'S CHEAP, YUMMY, AND A HECK OF A LOT BETTER THAN TEMPLE STAR!!!!
But anyway... We still didn't do much last weekend, though we did play a lot of this monkey and balloons game called "bloons." Haha. That game is much too addicting. I started my round on Sunday and am currently on level 33. XD What did Uteng do? Work and Warcraft... XD Such an adorable little nerd...
My first week or so in review:
Well, for those that already know I'm currently interning at the Philadelphia District Attorney's office, and I am loving it. I get to see trials, file and pull files of paper work and cases, and generally just kinda help all the lawyers out with their various cases and projects. The current trial I'm watching is one against match.com [see various news sites of info.]. That's a freaking crazy case!!
I another trial I saw was one of my own D.A.'s, Mr. Zarallo. He's really good at this! He's very eloquent and makes a very convincing and logical argument. Lol, that was a fun case to watch. The defense was pwned!
But anyway, as part of my internship at the D.A.'s office, I work with a certain unit known as the Repeat Offenders. It's a lot of burglaries/robberies we deal with and the occasional burglary/robbery with a hint of simple or aggravated assault.
But as of late, things have been rather slow, and there is never much work in the mornings and just enough to cover the afternoon hours. Thus, I spend a lot of mornings at the courthouse for case watching or just hanging around the office waiting for work. :\ It's only the beginning though, and I'm sure we'll get rather busy at some point. At least I hope... *slight cringe*
And yea... That's what I've been up to. Not to mention I will also be working at the Bath and Body Works just near my office haha. So that way I can at least get a little something out of this!
