Haha I hardly ever do these, but this one kinda sounded interesting. :D Let's give it a go shall we?
According to Mary, "The challenge was to write the start of a story with a description of the setting to set the mood."

Yea... I kinda got that feeling too... :\ I think that's kind of a bad habit that comes when starting a fic hahaha. But considering that I didn't really edit and just posted straight off... Well, I guess it could be worse? XD;; I'll fix it as soon as I figure out that damned layout! (TT )
