Trailer Tuesday: The Thieves
I've always loved heist and caper movies. The Sting, Soderbergh's Ocean's Eleven, The Italian Job (Michael Caine's version, thank you) - give me a film with a carefully planned crime, and I'll probably be on board. Choi Dong-hoon's K-movie Tazza was a phenomenal film that featured backroom games of hwatu, and his upcoming movie, The Thieves, looks to be just as intriguing.
I may have actually shrieked aloud when I saw The Thieves trailer finally go live a couple weeks ago. It's got a great cast line-up, including Kim Yun-seok, Kim Hye-soo, Lee Jung-jae, Jeon Ji-hyun, Kim Soo-hyun ♥, and one of my favorite HK actors - Simon Yam ♥.
It hits Korean theaters in July 2012, but hopefully, it won't take too long to land on English-subbed DVD or Blu-ray.
