HK-film Life Without Principle Slated For May 29, 2012 DVD Release
Indomina's U.S. DVD release of Hong Kong thriller Life Without Principle is set to hit retailers this May 29. Directed by Johnnie To ♥ (Johhny on the PR), the film features performances from Ching Wan Lau, Richie Ren, Denise Ho, Hoi-pang Lo, Terrance Yin, and Hang-shuen So. The DVD itself will retail for $14.94 and include bonus features that can be accessed via a QR code found within the packaging. Details about the extras have not yet been revealed.

At the 2012 Hong Kong Film Critics Society Awards, Life Without Principle won the Film of Merit award, a Best Actor trophy for Ching Wan Lau and a Best Screenplay award for the team of Tin-Shing Yip, Nai-Hoi Yau, Ben Wong, Kin-Yee Au and Ka-kit Cheung; while at the 2012 Hong Kong Film Awards, Hang-shuen So was named Best Supporting Actress and Hoi-pang Lo Best Supporting Actor. In addition, the film was nominated for the prestigious Golden Lion at the 2011 Venice Film Festival.
Synopsis
An ordinary bank teller turned financial analyst is forced to sell high-risk securities to her customers in order to meet her sales target. A small-time thug delves into the futures index hoping to earn easy money to post bail for a buddy in trouble with the law. A straight-arrow Police inspector who has always enjoyed his middle income lifestyle is suddenly desperate for money when his wife puts a down payment on a luxury flat she can’t afford and his dying father wants him to look after a young half-sister he never knew he had. Three little people who are in dire need of money for the predicaments in their respective lives have nothing in common until a bag of stolen money worth HK$5m pops up and lands them in an intricate situation that forces them into making soul searching decisions about right and wrong and everything in between on the morality scale.
