Drop U.S. Blu-ray / DVD Release Scheduled for June 21, 2011

FUNimation has scheduled Japanese live-action film Drop for U.S. release on June 21, 2011. The movie will be available in a Blu-ray/DVD combo collection with a $24.98 SRP and will consist of 1 Blu-ray disc and 1 DVD. The set will include the 120 minute film and possible special features. It will also feature Japanese audio, English subtitles, and an English dub.
Written and directed by Hiroshi Shinagawa (from the kombi Shinagawa Shoji), Drop is the loosely autobiographical, comedic coming-of-age story of a group of delinquent teens. Hiroshi (Hiroki Narimiya) decides to totally change his image when he transfers high schools and ends up adopting an aggressive, punkish persona. He faces off against the school's known bad seed Tatsuya (Hiro Mizushima), before the two develop a complex friendship.
