Right Stuf is holding another 33% off sale on all DVDs and Blu-ray from Tai Seng, so if you're a Chinese or Hong Kong film or drama lover, you definitely want to check it out. It looks like Tai Seng also distributes more K-movies than I thought, so if you're a K-film fan, you might find something as well. Sadly, this is one of Right Stuf's short sales, so it only runs through this Thursday at 11:59 p.m. CST, but at least you still have a couple days to sort through
Tai Seng's long, long list of titles.
The marquee title for the sale is
Royal Tramp, which I haven't seen, but I think it looks super cute and am strongly considering it. Any opinions? Is it a winner?
Besides Royal Tramp, I'm intrigued by
Devil's Disciples (a TVB drama I've heard really good things about) as well as
The Message, which I've wanted to see for ages due to my utter love for Xun Zhao.
Of the picks on the main sale page, I definitely recommend
Beast Stalker (hello, Nicholas Tse!),
Turning Point, and
Running on Karma.
Also, like last time, I totally recommend giving C-drama
Moment in Peking a try if you haven't seen it. Wei Zhao (Mulan, Red Cliff, Painted Skin, Longest Night in Shanghai) is absolutely wonderful in it.
My picks:
Beast Stalker - $5.33, HK-movie (Nicholas Tse, Nick Cheung, Jingchu Zhang)
Eagle Shooting Heroes (a.k.a. Legend of the Condor Heroes 2008) - $40.17, C-drama (Hu Ge, Ariel Lin, Yuan Hong, Liu Shi Shi)
Hi, Dharma - $10.02, K-movie (Park Shin Yang, Jeong Jin Yeong, Park Sang Myeon)
Isabella - $13.97, HK-movie (Chapman To, Isabella Leong)
Lost in Time - $6.67, HK-movie (Cecilia Cheung, Ching Wan Lau, Louis Koo)
Running on Karma - $10.02, HK-movie (Andy Lau, Cecilia Cheung)
The Shadow of Empress Wu - $40.17, C-drama (Liu Xiaoqing, Eva Huang, Vincent Jiao, Ma Xiao Wei)
Turning Point - $5.33, HK-movie (Michael Tse, Anthony Wong Chau-Sang, Francis Ng)
Have I missed a deal out there?
