Recent Releases
There haven't been too many English-subbed recent releases these last few weeks, but I've finally got a couple big picks for you!
Last week, Mao Inoue's My Darling Is a Foreigner finally hit Japanese Region 2 DVD, and this week, you can pick up Assault Girls in North America on either DVD or Blu-ray.
Most of you know I'll watch Mao in pretty much anything, and I know a few of you share the same feelings, but why Assault Girls? Assault Girls stars both Meisa Kuroki and Rinko Kikuchi, both of whom I totally love. The one drawback is that it's filmed almost entirely in English, which I always find a rather dubious choice (especially given the leads' questionable facility with the language), but the action is definitely solid enough for me to want a copy for my collection.
If you happen to be a horror fan, Eugene's Yoga is now available on U.S. DVD, too. Sounds kind of creepily intriguing the plot description), plus the box art is totally cringe-worthy (in a good, horror-fan way).
Oh, and C-drama fans can snag both The Four and Real Kung Fu on R1 DVD!
