Sickness, being home, and why this year isn't going to be so pointless after all

So right now I'm at home because I'm sick as hell and my parents took pity on me and dragged my ass home so I could sleep at home and go to the doctor in the morning, effectively missing all my Monday classes. Of course, I have no objection since it's been about a week since I first started feeling shitty so it's about time I caved and decided to go to the doctor.
On the way home I was talking about how lame it is at Concordia when I'm not in class, and how essentially the campus is dead and there is nothing for me to do there, which my dad pretty much said, "I knew and I told you so," to. But the one good thing that came out of the discussion was that my dad's fully supportive of me transferring ASAP, which looks like it's going to be fall next year. He wants me to stay in state for now so I'm looking around, but my "if dreams could come true and pigs could fly etc." school is U of M, mostly because *surprise!* I'm really a liberal person and because I rather like Ann Arbor, compared to, y'know, Detroit (a.k.a. Wayne State). I'm also applying at UM Dearborn and UM Flint and who knows where else, but I would really like to get into main, so I'm actually going to start making an effort in class and stuffs. The funny (but sad) thing was that my dad was surprised (and somewhat worried for my social life) when he found out that I don't go out on the weekend to party, or really to do anything at all.
So yeah. Happiness. Also, I'm currently very appreciative of my mother, who manages to throw all my laundry in the wash as soon as I get home.
