Of Montreal.....
blew me away. Their performance was one of the best that I've seen, so visually stimulating, hearty sexual vibe on stage, and the music was loud and wonderful.
Who cant enjoy listening to a man in a metallic jacket, daisy dukes, and fishnets? He made 3 costume changes and each one was fabulous. One utilized a ladder where he would stand and a large tapestry was over it, making it appear like he was 20ft tall with a turban on top of his head.
Yes. It's true, and fucking spectacular.
They came on for an encore, but the last amazing thing was that David Bowie Cover of "Suffragette City". I was dancing alone and it was cool, cause I'll be dancing with myself, Oh oh oh! (billy idol came over me, ha).
pictures of the show....
they like to dress up...
and I like to watch.
The lead singer's brother, doing I suppose interpretive performance art.
and there they are!
My friend was MIA for the last 30 minutes and I started to get worried, so after Of Montreal I went to the 'smoker's lounge' and there she was, chatting it up with the drummer from one of the opening bands- the one of which she said was mighty sexy.
We ended up all back at her house, chilling, smoking, and watching "Amelie". Not so much the "party life" I'm sure he might've been expecting, but its what we do, and that's how we roll, and I enjoyed myself.
Great night. Man, I need more of theses.
