Aside from loving manga, I love japan in general. A few days ago I ran across both The Great Happiness Space : Tale of an Osaka Love Thief and Japanorama on youtube and I fall in love with both documentary. Therefore I would like to share with you for those who haven't seen the shows yet.
First, The Great Happiness Space is a movie documentary by Jake Clennell. The documentary is mainly about the owner of the host club (Rakkyo Cafe) called Issei, his life and thoughts as a host in Osaka. Also there are some interviews of his clients who are mainly night club workers or prostitutes. The story really shows the thought and the experience of people who are in night life business. If you're interested in host and hostesses this documentary really give you the insight of how they really are. On top of that the documentary itself is very very interesting(aside from the fact that there are a lot of male eye candies. ^^ Issei san is so cuteee)
The second documentary is Japanorama and I love this documentary. It is all about Japan, anime, sex, samurai, yakuza. gyaru, otoku. You name it they talk about it in the documentary. The host of the show is Jonathan Ross and he did a excellent job to give out the info and make the audience think and laugh. ^^ If you're into Japan I guarantee that you will love this documentary.
If some of you have watched these two shows, I 'd like to hear what you guys think. For those who haven't check them out, you should so you can see for yourself if you like it. ^^ I sure hope you do enjoy them as much as I do.
