Happy (slightly belaed) birthday to Nao, drummer of the Japanese rock band alice nine, who turned 29 yesterday (the 31st)!!
alice nine (formerly known as アリス九號. or alice nine.) is celebrating their 5th year anniversary! =D They made their major label debut with the single Namae wa Mada Nai in July 2004, and have since released 15 singles, 3 mini-albums, and 3 albums. Their 9th single Jewels, released in March 2007, became their dirst single to attain mainstream popularity, and their next single, White Prayer, was their first to rank within the top 30 single rankings of the Oricon charts. In 2007, alice nine also appeared at the Jrock Festival in Los Angeles, their first overseas performance in their career, and in October they also appeared for the first time on the popular music television program Hey! Hey! Hey! for the first time.
To celebrate their fifth anniversary, the band will be releasing their first single since December, Hana on August 5, followed by a photobook containing interviews and reports of their 2009 performance and activities. Here is the video for their upcoming single, which will undoubtedly be on the
