Happy birthday to Shingo Takakura, bassist of the Japanese rock band NICO touches the walls, who turns 24 today!!
NICO touches the walls is a great band to look into. They formed in 2004 and signed to Sony Music Japan's Ki/oon Records in 2007, the same label that hosts L'Arc~en~Ciel, Asian Kung-fu Generation, and other popular rock groups. They made their debut in February 2008 with the single Yoru no Hate, and have since released four singles and an album under their major label. They are currently expecting to release their fifth single, Hologram, on August 12. Look out for it!
Here are two PVs from their upcoming single: "Hologram" and "Fuujin". "Hologram" is going to be the 2nd opening theme for the new Fullmetal Alchemist series, while "Fuujin" is the theme song for a movie, though I don't know which one. I REALLY like both songs! I'll be looking forward to the single's release. =] (They will probably appear on the Oricon charts, so the week after the 12 you can go to oriconcharts and download them there. =D)
