R.I.P. HD DVD...
And they said that the PS3 wouldn't be much of a factor... Hah!
Let's face it folks, with HD DVD / Blu-Ray players both going for hundreds of bucks, I figure I might as well put a little more down and get some gaming out of it too... And I'm no hardcore gamer - most of the time I'm just running my old PS/PS2 games on there.... (Although Motorstorm rocks!!) Truth be told, I got my PS3 more for Blu-Ray movies than for gaming (proving the first sentence of the post). Of course, the geek factor of being able to pop a computer OS on there helped too... (Yes, I've done it. No, I don't like it - I'm waiting until they figure out how to fix the wireless.)
All in all, I'm glad I didn't go the HD DVD route... Apologies for anyone who did. Format wars suck. :-(
