Today.....
1. I stood in line for the Wii from 4:00-8:00
completely worth it. Come over and play super monkey ball and wii sports when the wind permits, because it is WINDY as hell over here.....like you haven't experienced wind like this....or fire that is. Which brings me to #2.
2. Fire and smoke everywhere. Saw the smoke from the wii line at target, then we went to my house to play, despite all the smoke. Krista, jeanine, and ryan then left, however ryan couldn't get through and was stranded.so we wii'd for a bit. He left when the road opened...just in time. Suddenly the wind really picked up and the next thing we know there are firemen all over my street and fending on the FIRE THAT EXPLODED IN MY FRONT YARD. honestly, major flames right across the street from me. They extinguished it and it moved on down the steet. we then decided to go to my other house and hang out for a bit. Got back a little while ago and went back to playing the wii.
I'm fine everyone, thanks for all the concern. And don't feel bad for andrea, she wasn't even in any real danger. :P...but then again, was i? my wii definitely had priority though. IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL!!!
UPDATE: THEY'VE TURNED OFF OUR GAS. THAT MEANS NO HOT SHOWERS.
plus, there's this giant bin for trash that is smoldering by my house. i don't know what's in it, but it's smoking like crazy.the firemen seemed pretty ok with it when they left our site, but who knows...
And i know this sounds terrible, especially in my circumstance, but when i was driving home from dinner tonight, the smoldering trees and hills had the most magnificent holiday glow, as if God himself were putting up violent Christmas lights.
