Yeah, I've been called Hawaiian before. The other day someone asked if I was Hispanic. I just stared blankly at them.

Thanks!

I wasn't mad. I was just kinda... shocked. I dunno. It was the first time someone ever thought I was Hispanic

Nice to meet you! I'm Silver. Chinese, but mistaken for Japanese since I speak the language far more fluently than I do Chinese (I cuss in Chinese and that's really all...). I get the same rice/writing/etc. stereotypes a lot too. Do you ever get the "you're Asian, what do you mean you can't draw pretty anime pictures?!" one? That one's kinda fun.

Hi! I don't really get the anime drawing question because... well I don't think many people I talk to even know what anime is. Sad, huh? I do however get the, "What do you mean you don't know any martial arts?!" thing.

Heh, I love that question. I can't do proper martial arts but I picked up street fighting when I was a kid, so I tend to surprise my organized-martial-arts friends when we spar.

But most people in my high school knew what anime was. This made any group project involving art absolute hell, because everyone would look at me and I'd go, "I can't draw!"

I remember one time in Spanish someone replied to this with, "You're Asian! What do you mean you don't have inherent anime skills?"

Your icon is pretty- what series is it from?

I'm so klutzy and uncoordinated I would fall on my ass trying to do most of the excercises. I've watched a Tae Kwon Do class before and just stared in awe.

The icon is of "Father Hugue" aka Sword Dancer from Episode 6.

Yes of course! XDD

I adore Asian music. I mostly listen to Japanese music. Like Shiina Ringo (OMG LOVE!) and then all the music from animes. Ouran, FMA, Cowboy Bebop, etc.

I've gotten "Are you Mexican?" before so it's all good. (Though it's odd though because I look nothing near Mexican) Welcome, Meredith. I know how to write Japanese better than my "native" language too (Vietnamese).

Hope ya like it here.. though we're kind of dead.

I get those questions all the time. My favorite was "Are you Chinese or Japanese?" "I'm Korean.." "Wheres that at?" -_-;

Hehe, so yeah. And I actually do eat a lot of rice, so there's that.

Welcome!
