Never a dull moment...

The first week of classes are officially over, and everyone has survived! I haven't had it too bad so far, and considering 3 of my classes don't even have books, it may continue to remain that way. I've been a bit busy this week, but it's been fun. On Thursday night the BCA organizational meetings for all the co-curriculars was held. We had a lot of people show up for Film Society, I was so excited! I ran the meeting and people were actually listening to me, so I was happy. Half of my eboard didn't show up, but whatever...I'll deal with them later, mwahaha. Before the meetings Ick and I went to Meijer on a quest to find Hair on DVD. Although unsuccessful, he did manage to get a flat tire by rolling over this big ass bolt that was lying in Meijer's parking lot. He called roadside assistance, and the guy that came to fix it was quite...interesting. He sounded like he was from the deep south, with this nice hillbilly drawl. Then, out of nowhere, like out of BFE he makes this...noise. It was like a grunt/guttural sound. If you ask me I may be able to reproduce it, but I don't think I'll be able to do it justice. I had to walk like 3 cars down so he woulndn't see me laughing.
Friday was fun because when I was work I conducted my first interview while working at public, and my first ever phone interview. The phone interview is a bit more complicated than field interviews because you have to set up all this equipment and stuff. I really like working at public, it's a lot differnt than working at 91.5, but I like it. I can't wait to start working on Central Beat again for 91.5, hosting will be fun. Everyone needs to listen to it! It will air Mondays at 6pm. For those of you not in the Mt. P. area, we are steaming on the Internet, so all you have to do is go to http://www.bca.cmich.edu/WMHW/index.htm.
Today was also a good day, with the end result being that there is a Kroger shopping cart just chillin in our kitchen. Ick and I went to Kroger today because we both needed to go grocery shopping. I was going to drive, but we decided to walk instead (we live right across the street from this strip mall where Kroger is at the end- it's not a far walk, but I didn't know much we were going to buy). SO. We buy a lot. We needed the cart to get it back to the apt. I was going to leave it outside the door, bring the groceries in, and then take it back. But Ick was like, no let's just bring it inside. So we did. And then I kept forgetting to take it back. Maybe tomorrow I will. But until then, there is a Kroger shopping cart in our kitchen and it's amazing. Angela, Angela, Ick, Cat, and I went to see the 40 Year Old Virgin tonight, quite the funny movie! The greatest part is at the end because they incorporate Hair into it! Sweet! Afterwards, Angela and Cat came to our place. Pat was already there and we watched the Count of Monte Cristo. Also a good movie. So it's been a fun weekend so far. More to come, as we all plan to go on an Ethnic Creations expedition tomorrow. Woo for good friends, good people, and good times. Let the good times roll, rock on, and live it up!!!!
