So.. this month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I don't know why, but I feel real strong about people donating to any breast cancer foundation. My great-grandmother did die from this disease. Last May, Adam and I coordinated a walk for Breast Cancer Awareness for the Rescue Squad for EMS week. I got disappointed and aggravated because the public didn't respond like I had hoped. So, I became discouraged and didn't want to do it this year. So Saturday night, Adam and I were in Belk with my mom and on our way out we grabbed 3 pink ribbons. I decided then that I was going to Wal*Mart and make some of my own to give to my family members and to those at the post office. We then my idea extended to Norton Community. Adam told me that radiology has decorated for the Fall/Halloween. So I asked him why the Lab couldn't have pink ribbons up. So we sat up until around 1ish Sunday Morning making ribbons and printing some off the internet. I suggested to Kelly that maybe she should do something with Premier(sp?) about every pink item make the price to where she could make money and then send a portion to some Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation. I guess I'm saying.. show your support and wear a pink ribbon or donate. I have little money, but we always make a yearly donation to a local foundation.
On the other hand, things are going great. The wedding is on for December 15th 7:00 @ the First Christian Church in Appalachia!
