[ New York City ]

So my store sent me on a 3 day training in NYC.  I hate traveling but luckily Mark got forced to go from his store too haha.  We thought it was going to be all about holiday Operations since thats both of our new positions.  It ended up being all about Managerial Courage and learning how to have difficult conversations.   The only drawback from this trip was that it was in my least favorite city in the world.  NYC is so dirty and gross and smelly.

The trainers said that only us and the store managers get this training, so that was pretty awesome.  I now feel like i can play mind tricks on my fellow leads when they start getting lazy on the job.  I love learning new tricks.  It actually helped me be more confident to talk to people i dont know.  Like yesterday when i made a lady feel guilty because she put her shopping cart in front of my car instead of walking the 5 feet to her right to put it in the carriage corral. I dont understand why people just cant do the right thing.  Is it laziness? or just plain stupidity.

Tonight the whole district has to go in to do the holiday animation in the burlington store.  My home store.  Itll be nice to see a whole ton of people i havent seen in 6 months or so.  The only downfall is that i get to be paired up with the laziest boss in the district and i know ill be doing all the work myself. booo.  He sets the rules to not talk on your cell phone or each other, but yet, he does the exact opposite.  while wearing clothes that arent at all close to concept.  jerk.

<3 I made some crazy stuffed french bread sub things yesterday and they came out awesome.  i love my internet resources for recipes.
