oh Buse

So I'm doing research for my essay topic (which is about the formation of CSIS which is the Canadian Security Intelligence Service), and one of the books the library has here is by D. K. Buse. (Dieter K. Buse). AKA: my first year history professor that was so totally cool and I had so much fun with!

I can guarantee that had he not gone on sabbatical on the second year, I probably still would be at Laurentian, because he really made History fun, and he really represented what history was about.

He wasn't about the drama or the wars or the revolutions, and the paranoia that Rutherford was, he wasn't about dry facts like my Canadian professor was (Buse actually taught those classes too, but due to sabbaticalness the other one taught). He was about the culture, about the reason, and yes he covered the wars but he was more about the why's and how's, he was about the effect of them on society then!!

He was such a wonderful professor. I think if I need any help I may call him up and interview him.

Really that's the only thing I miss about Laurentian.
