ABC has ordered a sitcom pilot starring the Geico Cavemen.
Now, while I think this is a stupid idea, the most interesting part about this comes from the user message board. Most of the posters are, strangely, erupting with glee and anticipation. To be honest, I like the commercials too, though not as much as some of these people.
But then you have the posters who, in all seriousness, say they hate the commercials not because they're just stupid or anything, but because they are insulting and degrading to cavemen.

And I've read through about a hundred of the messages, and so far no one's pointed out the irony that a string of commercials that pokes fun at our society's persistent need to take offense to any sort of harmless advertising campaign is making these people feel the need to take offense to a harmless advertising campaign.
