School's Here
... and that means it's time for me to start updating again. First, I'll sum up my summer. Where to begin?
Katy Durocher, who has been a friend of mine for a long time, is now my girlfriend. It was crazy and complicated there for a while, but now it's much better, except of course for the fact that we're now at different schools (Grrr!). We're trying to make it work, though, and I'll be seeing her this weekend.
A good friend of mine, Jenni, was staying in Tigard over the summer, and we were able to talk, and I visited her a few times. Now she's gone for good back to Finland. I knew it would happen, but that doesn't exactly make it any easier. However, I did promise that I would come to visit her in Finland in five years, so there's that.
Sarah and Erik were living at home with us for the summer (and are still there). It was stressful at times, especially regarding space (they had to bring all their things with them), but all in all, I'm really glad it happened. It gave me a chance to get to know my sister's fiance better, and though he acts like a jerk when he plays Super Smash Brothers, he's a really good guy, and I feel a lot more at ease.
Well, I'm back at school now, so I guess we'll see how things develop. I get to sleep in tomorrow later than I ever will be able to again, so that's fun, but I'm still thinking about getting up early to get things done. I must say, though, the temptation to sleep in 'til noon is hard to resist.
