That is an easy one when Sakura travel with the return card to meet Clow Reed, she feel sleep for a moment this was no a moment and was intentional, Clow Reed read all he can could about the future in Sakura's mind, and sure some premonition either her know yet or she misjugde by a dream... When i read and watch this part in the manga and in the anime i was sure here and there Clow decide to split his reencarnation and be Fujitaka and the father of Sakura and Then he start to know about the all problem...
And i had the idea that Sakura form trc chap 1 was the clone and for her Clow Reed fake his death go to clow country and forge a life for the clone for some reason we can understand yet, and that's why he miss someone he can't speak of he lost(infinity) and there is no mother and Clow Died when Sakura was young, Clow read actually did not die in japan he died inClow country!!!
May be i'm crazy but so far i know about real Xio must be the son of Li or Li himself so....
The Return card didn't exist in the manga. (Which's a pity because episode 28 is made of win.)
Clow's "death" in the CCS world can't be have been faked because he left "evidence" behind (unless the space-time collapse goes that far back). If Clow Reed is Clow-ou, maybe he faked his death as Clow-ou and then returned to the CCS world and split himself. Or maybe Clow-ou faked his death anyway, to be reunited with whoever it was he was longing for. Now that we know he wasn't the original Clow-ou, it's possible that he had a life he left behind so that he could take Fujitaka's place, and wanted to go back to that life.
