Procrastination

So I have something I should definitely be working on, and instead I'm updating this thing.  Interesting.

Dragon*Con was Dragon*Con.  I posted my pictures for the first time ever and they've gotten a reasonably good response.  I think the main thing I'm learning is that a lot of people are tired of pictures of fish.  I only went to one panel at the convention, one on podcasting, but I did attend the Dawn contest and the Masquerade for the first time in years.  Other than that I just wandered around and went to the dealers room, where I bought a t-shirt for myself that has a picture of Frankenstein's monster on it.  I also bought little trinkets for emmilicious and seismic since they are traditionally unable to attend.  ARTC's one show went over extremely well.  About 500 people came to see it, which is good for a Friday evening, and we got compliments about it throughout the con, and lots of people said they were disappointed that our second show had been cancelled.

Then I took a couple of days to rest.  Back to work on Thursday.  Sunday I went to see Bodies...the Exhibition.  It was interesting and I'm glad I went, but the staff there was so disorganized.  But then again, my own poor planning almost cost me the ability to see it at all.  I misjudged the crowd that would gather on the last day of the exhibition and if it weren't for the fact that someone's car broke down so they had to sell their ticket, I wouldn't have had time to see it.  As it was, I bought a 2:30pm ticket, finally gained admittance at 4:00pm and had to leave by 6:00pm to go work a special event at the aquarium.  I had to kind of rush through the last couple of rooms about the endocrine system and reproduction, but I did get to see it all and read most of the signs explaining it all.  And the circulatory system exhibit was great.

I've had a lot of really vivid dreams lately.  Usually I forget them soon after waking, and I haven't felt up to keeping a dream diary, but as usual, they're all really weird.

Yesterday I worked at the aquarium.  And that's all I've got to say about that.  And now I need to procrastinate on my procrastination.

Autumn is coming.  I love the autumn.
